Nestled in the heart of Tronadora, this is the ultimate serene retreat back to nature. You won’t tire of the views of Lake Arenal and Arenal Volcano, or the sound of nature in the trees.
This home enjoys a main floor primary suite with a King-size bed and an ensuite bath. There is an additional half-bath on the same floor. A loft upstairs with a reclining sofa and chairs overlooks the main floor and also has a queen-size bed with a pull-out queen-size trundle.
1 King-size beds and 2 queen-size beds, and the availability of up to 2 additional rollaway cots, allows this home to accommodate up to 8 guests in total.
You will have the entire home to yourself, as well as access to all the community amenities. The driveway has capacity for up to 4 cars.
Allowing others to use our homes allows us to travel around the country. Although we may not be on-site during your visit, we are available by text and phone at any time. We have helpers in the community should a need arise that requires someone onsite.
As part of a gated community, you will enjoy the peace of mind that comes with security and wonderful, caring neighbours. Locally, there’s also pickleball, kayaking, boating, horseback riding, biking, hot springs, and river rafting within easy reach – there really is something for everyone here.

A vehicle is recommended should you decide to visit us. However, we have had guests who came without one, and we can recommend driving services to get you out and about as needed.
We are just 3 miles from the picturesque town of Tronadora, home to the most beautiful park in Guanacaste. Here, you can find everything you need, including a grocery store, butcher, bakery, liquor store, two restaurants, and a bar for those looking for nightlife.
It is an easy 1.5-hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3 hours from San Jose. If you arrive in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight, we recommend staying near the airport and getting a fresh start in the morning. Most roads are paved but not well-marked, with many twists and turns.
We have plenty of parking areas.

This is a beautiful place with an incredible view. The house had all kinds of extras that were very thoughtful. The hosts were very responsive and provided a lot of local options from shopping to yours.
La casa era perfecta, como las fotos y todavía mejor, con todos los confort necesario para pasar unas vacaciones relajantes y confortable. Las camas muy confortable así como los sofás, la cocina perfecta. La vista muy linda, la primera mañana nos despertamos con la vista de la laguna y el volcan Arenal.
Rod y Tanyia nos ayudaron cuando tuvimos algunos problemas para llegar (muchas gracias!) y siempre respondieron prontamente a nuestras preguntas.
La calle para llegar es de lastre y actualmente esta en mal estado, con un 4×4 no hay problemas, pero con un carro corriente creo sea difícil poder llegar. La zona es bastante leja de las atracciones principales (La Fortuna, Volcan Arenal y su parque 1hora y media) pero es un encanto, para nosotros que buscábamos tranquilidad y relax fue perfecto.

Great stay and extremely accommodating hosts- were very quick with responses to all our needs and questions, and were nearby in case we needed anything. Had basic condiments and coffee which was nice. Also, offered up recommendations to the surrounding areas and answered our questions about the area. House has good bones, a beautiful view, and is in a safe location. We came to this area to go into Monteverde and La Fortuna so it was a bit of a drive from this location, but other than that it was a perfect place to stay!

I could not recommend staying with Tanyia and Rod anymore!!! They are by far the best AirBnb hosts I’ve ever had. This house had the most amazing view and we felt right at home. Any questions we had, regarding local recommendations or the house itself, they would respond immediately 😊
