Guests will have the entire home, patios, front and side yards, and private parking.
We love to meet people but respect your privacy. We offer self-check-in so that after a long travel day, you can get in and relax. We are always available by messaging and answering as soon as possible. If we are in the country at your visit and you are open to it we would love to share a beverage with you on our patio and hear some of your travel stories. We could perhaps, share some of our love of this beautiful country and handy travel tips.

A vehicle is absolutely recommended should you decide to visit us. However, we have had guests who came without one, and we can recommend driving services to get you out and about as needed.
We are only 3 miles from the picturesque town of Tronadora, with the prettiest park in Guanacaste, where you can find everything you need including, a grocery store, butcher, bakery, liquor, 2 restaurants, and for those looking for the nightlife, there is also a bar.
An easy 1.5 hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3 hours from San Jose. If arriving in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight we recommend that you stay over near the airport and get a fresh start in the morning. Most of the roads are paved, however, not well marked, and there are lots of twists and turns.
We have plenty of parking areas.
This community has 24-hour gated access. On-site security provides peace of mind that you and your belongings will be safe and secure.
Amenities
House has amazing lake views, if fully equipped with everything you need, is very peacefull, clean, its short drive from town. Tanyia and Rod are great hosts, always very attentive, will stay again anytime.
We have stayed in many Air BnBs and VRBOs at many international locations. This one, by far, has been the most complete in providing “necessities”. We were provided everything we could have possibly needed and then some. We didn’t have to buy condiments, spices, toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, plastic baggies, etc. Tanyia and Rod even provided ground coffee and tea. The house was VERY clean, very well appointed, comfortable, and the location was beautiful and serene. If you are looking for a place to ‘chill’, this is the place to go. A car is a must. We would definitely return to rent this house if/when we come back to this area.
Beautiful views through every window and a gorgeous panoramic view of the lake. Kitchen was very well outfitted and the rooms had plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels. Host was always very responsive and helpful
We had a wonderful stay at Birder’s Paradise. Tanyia and Rod are super hosts and communication was excellent. The house was well maintained , beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The views from each room were amazing. The property is beautifully landscaped with a large variety of flowering bushes. We spent a most of our time outside watching birds and enjoying the scenic view of the lake. Around 5am we had an excellent view of the volcano to the southeast of us. We do recommend 4 wheel drive to access the house because the last part is slow and rough. Totally worth it. We highly recommend.
Very clean house in 10 min drive from town. Owners are friendly and there are lot of birds in the area.
