Allowing others to use our homes allows us to travel around the country. We may not be onsite during your visit but are available by text and telephone anytime. We have helpers in the community should a need arise that requires someone onsite.

A vehicle is recommended should you decide to visit us. However, we have had guests who came without one, and we can recommend driving services to get you out and about as needed.
We are only 3 miles from the picturesque town of Tronadora, with the prettiest park in Guanacaste. Here, you can find everything you need, including a grocery store, butcher, bakery, liquor, two restaurants, and a bar for those looking for nightlife.
It is an easy 1.5-hour drive from Liberia Airport and 3-4 hours from San Jose depending on traffic. If you arrive in San Jose with less than 3 hours of daylight, we recommend staying near the airport and getting a fresh start in the morning. Most roads are paved but not well-marked, with many twists and turns.
We have plenty of parking areas.
This community has 24-hour gated access. On-site security provides peace of mind that you and your belongings will be safe and secure.
The community is gated, so security will initially grant you access. You will then receive a gate fob for easy access in and out of the community.

Amenities
The place is beautiful, just like the pictures. Having the Arenal Lake as your backyard is amazing, very nice place to relax and scape from the noise of the city. Tanyia and Rod were great, super responsive and willing to help of needed.
Casa mariposa is an impeccable home. No words do justice to the location. Wonderful in every way. I plan on returning as soon as possible.

This place is is a peaceful oasis.
Every morning we would slowly wake and enjoy breakfast overlooking the lake, watching for birds, and munching on Mangoes from the property’s enormous mango tree.
The beds were very comfortable, the AC was nice and cool, The hot tub was great after a long day of hikes, and the kitchen was nicely stoked with all the tools and essentials you might need.
I would highly recommend this spot if looking for a location between Fortuna and Monteverde.
Beautiful comfortable home
We really enjoyed our time here. We had the club pool all to ourselves and it was cold but fun.
Also, we really enjoyed the private hot tub (which is next to the house) because the weather is cooler in the mountains.
The view from the house is amazing. I loved seeing the cattle grazing on the distant green hills, and the stunning view of the lake.
We enjoyed going to the Lake Arenal Brewery for two of our meals, and we also enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen at our unit.
The location feels very safe and comfortable. The owners are accommodating and very nice.
We would stay again.
